Il est fort possible que vous preniez du retard à l’occasion. Ce n’est pas un problème! Dans un tel cas, vous n’avez qu’à passer au chapitre suivant et continuer. N’abandonnez pas ou ne vous empêchez pas de continuer pour cela.
The arrival of fall is already sensed, either because your kids are back in school or simply by the cool weather that is slowly starting to settle in, and we are all very busy. We find ourselves doing many things centered on others, mostly those around us that we are taking care of, sometimes at the risk of neglecting our own spiritual life, though we know that it should be our priority!
I recently received, from the publishing houseImpact, the book from John MacArthur – «Twelve Extraordinary Women » to do a book review. Yet, this time I had a desire to do something different with you that would be more friendly and enjoyable for you my readers; something new. So here is my proposal:
You purchase the book (as soon as possible) to read it. You can buy it here. There is a schedule in PDF format that you can download to follow along, so you know the dates in advance and print it.  Schedule PDF
About every 10 days, on my blog, I will put up a brief resume of what has been more beneficial to me spiritually concerning the specific chapter we’ve read and how I plan to apply it in my daily living.
On your side, if you so desire, you can also share along with me and the other readers what has touched and encouraged you, and what you liked. As simple as that!
The point is not to have big debates concerning our agreement or disagreement with one another, but to have respect, grace and a spirit of love while sharing with one another on what we are learning together on the lives of these women from the Word of God.
It is more than possible that you might fall behind. It is not a problem! If such was the case, just move on to the next chapter and continue on with us. Don’t let this stop you or make you abandon just because you lost track of a couple of chapters.
The reading of this book will serve to study in the Word of God about 12 women of the Bible. Which is, without a doubt, something that will help us grow spiritually.
I believe that it’s a very good way to start fall!
I leave you with this citation of MacArthur in hopes of reading your comments in September, dear sisters.
“My prayer for you is that as you read this book you will share their faith, imitate their faithfulness, and learn to love the Savior whose work in their lives made them truly extraordinary. Your life can be extraordinary, too, by His wonderful grace.”

Sometimes you make a decision and go straight ahead with it, because your conviction is so strong and you’re absolutely sure that God’s Word approves it. That is why we wrote the second part of our mission on our website for Mam’zelles Creation. It still stands, despite the fact that we are learning how much we lack in knowledge of what Fair Trade really means and all it accomplishes for so many people.
I have decided to write a blog about it because I’ve been deeply touched by many things I’ve read, and yet somehow find myself totally ignorant on so many levels about the subject. Lacking awareness as to what is going on outside of my little comfort zone, regarding this BIG issue, which is most often called human trafficking, and sex trafficking. Reading and doing research has helped me to realize how every action that each one of us does to help is vitally important while aiming for the abolition of slavery. Yes, slavery, today in 2015!
Here is the second part of our mission; our passion turned towards a great desire to relieve an even bigger need: helping women in India who are caught up in sex exploitation at an extremely young age. We turned our focus towards working with our first Eco-Friendly, Fair trade Company “Freeset”. To learn more how working with this company helps the women read more here.
Our desire is to help, but it is important to know and really understand what we are doing and why, isn’t it? So, thus started my quest to look into sex and human trafficking; it blew me away. I was astonished at what I was reading and I am still in shock. I am surely not the only one who thought that things weren’t really that bad!!! But they are more than bad; they are DEVASTATING.
There are more slaves today than at any other time in history!
I read that there are more slaves in the world in the 21st century than at any other point of human history, with an estimated 27 million in bondage across the globe, which includes men, women and children.
Did you know that the average age of the victims of sex trafficking is 12 (14 in Canada)? Women and children are kidnapped for the sex slave industry or sold by their own family under desperate circumstances.
Human trafficking is the second largest criminal industry in the world and it affects every nation across the globe. Every second, someone is forced into this type of modern bondage.
99% of the time, the victims are never saved…
Often, in street-based trafficking, the victims are required to earn a quota ranging from $500 to $1000 or more nightly, which is then confiscated by the pimp. Many times, brothels are disguised as fake massage businesses; victims live on-site most of the time and are coerced into providing commercial sex to 6 to 10 men a day, 7 days a week.
When it’s not sex trafficking, it’s another kind of slavery; the issue is human rights. People are used, abused and unfairly treated…
I love how Ben Skinner defines slavery and adds a very important distinction between sex trafficking and slavery in an interview: “When we’re defining slavery, fundamentally at its core it’s the same in each and every circumstance. We’re talking about people forced to work, held through fraud, under threat of violence, for no pay beyond subsistence. If we’re talking about forced commercial sexual slavery, forced prostitution, there’s an added element of humiliation or shame, because we’re talking about rape. “1
As I read his article, it became clear to me that whatever it was, whether it be sex trafficking, child labor, human rights, unfair pay or fraud, it’s called SLAVERY, and it’s not their choice! It’s forced on them at a very young age and many times it continues on from generations to generation.
On occasions, I’ve had people tell me that our products on our online shop are expensive; some are, depending on where they come from. But that’s because they are Fair Trade and they are made with a purpose and a mission for a cause. Some Fair Trade companies give the workers permission to fix their own prices and do not impose or oblige their rules on them.
We need to remember that every item is made by hand and aims AT helping someone survive, live, eat, and most of all get back what’s left of his or her dignity in their life! It also gives them back, in many cases, their FREEDOM.
I believe without a doubt that it’s far better to buy less and encourage a worthy cause than to keep encouraging our typical mass producers of goods around the world, and I am not saying this to make anyone feel guilty; I just know that all my future buying’s won’t be made with the same perspective. I think before I buy and I ask myself questions. Especially when I know that so many companies are underpaying their workers, and that’s why we are getting stuff at cheaper prices. Who’s making these? Are they well paid? Are children making these? Are they slaves?
Fair trade workers are paid fair, up front prices for their work. Additionally, their working conditions are safe, child labor is forbidden and gender equality is ensured. These factors help foster long-term buying relationships and make the opportunity for food, water, shelter, education and quality of life a reality for people in economically disadvantaged communities. Isn’t this worth the extra dollars we pay to know we are making a difference in the life of someone? If more people buy Fair Trade, this helps and makes a big difference in the economy.
Lets take the example of chocolate: Did you know that, sadly, 70% of the cocoa production is riddled with abusive child labor and human trafficking?2Â Â Everyone loves and buys chocolate, or at least most of us do. Yet how many of us are aware of this fact?
And why is this even happening? Because, due to extreme poverty, parents will sell their children to traffickers in the hopes that their children will have a better life. Which of course isn’t what happens! The age rate is as low as 11 years old and can go up to16 years old. The children are forced to work up to 100 hours a week, not paid and hardly fed. As if this wasn’t enough, they are viciously beaten when they do not attain a certain quota or if they even try to escape their situation. Most children will NEVER see their parents again. I can’t speak for you but I know, after reading this, that only Fair Trade chocolate and coffee from now on are my choice for these items. I say coffee because it’s the same situation for coffee.
Fair Trade organizations are a really good way to help these humans out of this position and not end up into slavery, in parts of the world where there is such poverty.
India is the worst place regarding sex trafficking. We didn’t even know this when we worked with them for the products that we had made for our online shop. I rejoice now, knowing that we provided in a small way to give them hope and helped them earn money for their living and dignity. I clearly see how God was and still is guiding our path.
Sometimes helping our neighbor may be someone further away than down the street…

P.S. – Here is where I buy my coffee now. It is an excellent company with special organic products including the highest quality possible in coffee beans. It’s the BEST coffee ever plus it’s Fair Trade. You can read all about why it’s so good here. It’s wild how good it is!!! 🙂
                                                                 Tite 2 : 3-5
I wrote this article a while back but wanted to share it with you on my blog. I was very honored that my application was chosen and published. It was a joy to see God’s hand in this adventure since for me I was only writing what I believe God is calling me to do in his Word. Here is the link to where it was originally posted.

One of my greatest and most delightful daily offering to my Lord is practicing these verses in Titus by taking care of my grandson everyday. I am honored to be able to put into practice the commandments in these verses concerning older women.
I am aware that in these verses Paul is talking first and foremost to older women about teaching the sound doctrine of Scriptures in accordance with the gospel. Afterwards, he tells them how to go about doing this in their everyday lives. Since I am with James all day, I believe that I have a significant role in my grandson’s life and I desire to be a good role model for him. This is my opportunity to leave him a legacy of how I lived my life for Christ in my daily routine. I can try to give him sound doctrine despite his young age.
As a grandmother, my hope and prayer is that he will recognize God when the Lord calls him, saves him and makes him his servant. Maybe our time spent together, the stories of faith I’ve told him, prayers answered I’ve shared with him, songs I’ve sang to him, and my love for my Savior will be memories he will be able to recall one day. It has always been my hope and my desire to practice these lovely verses in my own family. I praise God that I am finally able of doing so.
May my offering of joy in taking care of this wonderful grandchild of mine, which has cost me to put aside many projects, be pleasing to my Lord.
It has brought me many blessings above and beyond the lost of projects and human success that makes you believe you are worth something. My value is found in serving my Lord first. I truly found it in serving my little man, James, for the glory of God. Amen!

Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.Â
