Vacation Time!
Â
I am down to the last preparations, finally! It’s not easy for me to leave on vacation, it’s so much work before, that sometimes it discourages me. Fortunately we go long enough that it is worth all the effort put in.
Let me explain: we are a foster family for people who have a mental deficiency. Which means that they are with us all year round, 7 days out of 7, 24 hours out of 24, if they don’t work.
There was a time where we had three people living with us. Since my illness is more difficult to control and the pain keeps increasing, my husband and I have decided to keep only one person with us.
Being as we are working for the government, as a foster family, as soon as we make changes or go away for any reason, it is normal that we must advise them and provide with all information needed. All this preparation is what gets me down and tired. Because there are so many phone calls to do, papers to complete, organizing around the activities as to not disturb in anyway the person in his usual habits. Otherwise, at my return I will be in great need of a BIG vacation again! Yet by God’s grace, I have almost finalized everything. I am very well blessed because I have the best babysitters in the world! Ha ha, xxx. This makes me capable of leaving with a relaxed mind and in peace.
The good news is that on vacation I am capable of leaving everything behind and enjoy fully my time by relaxing with my wonderful husband. Plus, can you guess what I do? Of course, READ, READ and READ some more. All pure pleasure! No dishwashing to do, no cooking, no clothes to wash, Oh and no bed making! Oh my, oh my, won’t that be nice…real vacations. This will be good for my “hubby” and me, long time overdue.
So, don’t be surprised by my blog not being very active for two weeks, it will be normal. I will be out in the sun, on the beach having a good time…unless I decide to write you a little something during my vacation. Not sure “hubby” will agree on that, maybe a photo and a few words?! We’ll see.
Blessing,
In His love
